Congratulations are in order for Barrow’s resident interventional pain management specialist, Dr. Parul Goel. Not only does she guide and treat patients daily in their quest to become pain-free, but she has also recently been recognized as one of AZ Business Magazine’s Most Influential Women of 2016!
Goel was selected by the editorial team at AZ Business Magazine and a panel of industry experts from a pool of more than 1,000 candidates. The magazine considers Goel and her Most Influential peers to be “innovators, trailblazers and leaders of industry.” On the evening of August 25, Dr. Goel and the other Most Influential Women of 2016 will be honored at a reception taking place at the scenic Desert Botanical Garden.
It comes as no surprise to her Barrow colleagues or patients that Dr. Goel is being honored. She is double-board certified in pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation. As a leading interventional pain management specialist in Phoenix at Barrow’s world-class NeuroSpine & Rehab Center, Dr. Goel treats patients with a comprehensive approach that includes physical therapy, medication management, and injection therapy. She places the utmost importance on accurately diagnosing the source of pain, and then educating each patient on their pain condition and their treatment options in order to ease their suffering, maximize functioning, and help them resume an active, pain-free life.
Her advice to others, as referenced in her Most Influential Women profile: “Do what you are passionate about. Speak up and trust your instincts. Surround yourself with a team that has the same vision and standards as you. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself!”
