Phoenix, Arizona – Barrow Brain and Spine, a world-class destination for neurosurgery and Arizona’s largest neurosurgical group, continues to expand its services with the opening of our newest location at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center Campus. Dr. Rory Murphy, a fellowship-trained functional neurosurgeon, is the first Barrow Brain and Spine surgeon at the new Deer Valley Location. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Washington University and fellowship at University of California San Francisco. His work to improve neurosurgical techniques and develop innovative monitoring devices has been recognized with awards from the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurosurgery, as well as publications in the Journals Nature, Neurosurgery, and The Journal of Neurosurgery. Dr. Murphy and his team are participating in a number of international clinical trials ensuring that patients have access to the most modern traumatic brain injury and spinal cord treatments.
In addition to opening a clinic on campus, Barrow Brain and Spine’s neurosurgeons are now providing 24-hour, 365-day emergent and trauma neurosurgery coverage at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Level 1 Trauma Center.
